How a poster would trigger a racial war?

America Red Cross announced a controversial apology for the swimming poster they just promoted “Be Cool, Follow The Rules” which is to tell children dos and don’ts in swimming pool. But this poster arose a severe blame because of racial problem. ptt01-how-a-poster-would-trigger-a-racial-war The poster was uploaded onto the safety APP of Red Cross and posted in swimming pools all around the U.S. It illustrates that many children are playing in the pool and around it while some of them were pointed out as “Not Cool” because of their wrong behavior. It seems normal but when you observe it carefully you can find out that 4 of 5 “Not Cool” are African-American children and all the “Cool” are White people. This situation was found by a twitterer John Sawyer, ”Hey, Red Cross, you would be black-listed if you keep this.” And responded Red Cross, “Thanks for reminding. We have removed all the poster on the website and on the road of new one.” ptt01-how-a-poster-would-trigger-a-racial-war2 But the apology of Red Cross is not accepted by Margarat, John Sawyer’s sister, who is also the witness, “My first thought was that it’s surely not recent poster because it’s too out-of-date. The image might mistake people to the negative impression of African-American children. How would an organization proud with multi-culture idea do this kinda thing?” The Red Cross said they are deeply apologized for this mistake and definitely not offensive to anybody. They would also keep it as rules of multi-group propaganda. >> Read More Weird News   Post Source : www.ptt01.cc
